The Teskey Brothers @ The Briars, Mornington 20-Feb-2021
Australian blues rock band The Teskey Brothers headlined the sold-out SummerSalt festival at The Briars in Mount Martha on Victoria's Mornington Peninsular on Saturday 20 February 2021. The band was formed in Melbourne's Yarra Valley during 2008 by brothers Josh Teskey (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Sam Teskey (lead guitar), along with Brendon Love (bass) and Liam Gough (drums). They have released two studio albums to date - Half Mile Harvest (2017) and Run Home Slow (2019) - and their Live at the Forum album went to number one on the Australian charts when released last May. The Teskey Brothers were nominated for seven awards at the 2019 ARIA Music Awards, winning in three categories. With Josh's soulful and smokey voice, their music evokes a late-'60s Motown sound. Coupled with an undeniable live show, The Teskey Brothers have been receiving widespread acclaim while wowing audiences around the world with their loving soul and rhythm & blues. Impressive for a group of local twenty-somethings.
