The Sisters of Mercy @ The Gov, Adelaide 27-Oct-2019
The Sisters of Mercy played The Governor Hindmarsh hotel in Adelaide on Sunday 27 October 2019 as the second show on their Australian Tour. The British goth rock punks formed in 1980 and after achieving underground fame, they broke-through commercially in the mid-'80s. Led by revered front man Andrew Eldritch, the band also includes Ben Christo on guitar, Australian-born and Amsterdam-based guitarist Dylan Smith, and Ravey Davey, who operates the programmed drum machine known as Doktor Avalanche. Seven years since their last Australian shows, the Adelaide crowd was thrilled and moving from their opening song More, all the way through to Vision Thing, Temple of Love and This Corrosion that ended their solid performance of supercharged industrial psychedelia.
