Shihad @ Sooki Lounge, Melbourne 19-Nov-2017

New Zealand rockers Shihad played Sooki Lounge in the Melbourne suburb of Belgrave on Sunday 19 November 2017, as part of their Australian East Coast tour. Formed in Wellington during 1988, the band consists Jon Toogood on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Phil Knight on lead guitar, Karl Kippenberger on bass, and Tom Larkin on drums. Shihad has produced five number-one studio albums, holding the title for most number one records by any New Zealand artist. At the release time of their most recent, ninth studio album FVEY, Shihad also had the most Top 40 New Zealand chart singles for any New Zealand artist. The band is currently working on their next album but took time out of the studio for this run of shows.
