Saliva @ Max Watt’s, Melbourne 15-Feb-2018
American hard rockers Saliva played Max Watt's in Melbourne on Thursday 15 February 2018 on their first-ever Australian Tour. Formed in Memphis, Tennessee late in 1996, Saliva has gone on to release ten studio albums, picking up a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance along the way, during their most commercially successful period in 2002. Led by founding member Wayne Swinny on lead guitar - who unfortunately couldn't make the trip so had a replacement - the band currently features their longtime drummer Paul Crosby, Bobby Amaru on lead vocals (who replaced original singer Josey Scott back in 2012), and newest member Brad Stewart (Shinedown, Fuel) on bass. The band treated Melbourne rockers to a hard-hitting set of fan-favourite songs like Click Click Boom, Always, Ladies and Gentlemen, Your Disease, and Superstar. It's hard to believe it's been 8 years since Saliva's greatest hits album was released.
