Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks @ Melbourne Pavilion, Melbourne 26-Jan-2021
Ross Wilson presented his Living in the Land of Oz concert to celebrate our First Nations People and the 50th Anniversary of the classic hit song Eagle Rock by Daddy Cool. This rock'n'roll live music show was held at Melbourne Pavilion in Kensington, and was his first local show since the pandemic restrictions began almost a year ago. The 73-year-old musician is most known as the co-founder and frontman of Aussie rock groups Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock, whose hits he played throughout the set, along with solo material from more recent years. Wilson was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame over 30 years ago, and again as a member of Daddy Cool in 2006. With the concert taking place on Australia Day, Wilson said, "Until they change the date, I'm siding with the Survival Day / Invasion Day people."
