Ross The Boss @ Max Watt's, Melbourne 22-Nov-2019
Hailing from New York City, Ross the Boss was a founding guitarist in punk band The Dictators before being a founding member of heavy metal band Manowar. He is touring Manowar's third album Hail To England in its entirety on his Australia and New Zeland Tour, which he brought to Melbourne's Max Watt's venue on Friday 22 November 2019. Joining 65-year-old guitarist Ross Friedman in his Ross The Boss Band are singer Marc Lopes (Let Us Prey), bassist Mike LePond (Symphony X), and drummer Steve Bolognaise (Into Eternity). Friedman released six albums with Manowar during his time with them in the 1980s. Pushing their "Death to False Metal" slogan at every opportunity, Manowar was included in the Guinness Book of World Records for delivering the loudest ever performance.
