Mr. Big @ Forum Theatre, Melbourne 6-June-2018
American hard rock supergroup Mr. Big played Melbourne's Forum Theatre on Wednesday 6 June 2018, as part of their Defying Gravity World Tour, and first-ever visit to Australia. Formed in Los Angeles during 1988, the band has remained active and popular over the decades, with a particularly massive fan-base in Japan that loves their musicianship and vocal harmonies. Their ballad To Be with You from their second album went to number one on the singles charts in fifteen countries. Comprised of well-respected virtuosos within the music industry, Mr. Big is Eric Martin on lead vocals, Billy Sheehan (The Winery Dogs, David Lee Roth, Talas) on bass, Paul Gilbert (Racer X) on guitar, and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Beautiful Creatures) on drums, who has taken over from original drummer Pat Torpey, following his death from Parkinson's disease four months ago. The band released their ninth studio album Defying Gravity last July, and tonight showcased their exceptional musical prowess with a set selected from their multi-platinum records that span their career.
