Molly Meldrum's 80th @ Arts Centre, Melbourne 27-Jan-2023

The Australian Music Vault marked the 80th birthday of Australian music icon Ian "Molly" Meldrum AM with a special celebration at the Arts Centre Melbourne on Friday 27 January 2023. Taking place two days before his milestone birthday, Molly was introduced by Arts Centre Melbourne CEO Karen Quinlan AM, before receiving a large bouquet from Kylie Minogue. After some words from The Hon. Steve Dimopoulos MP, Victorian Minister for Creative Industries, Molly blew out the candle on a most spectacular birthday cake made in his honour. He provided the press with photo opportunities in his trademark Stetson hat with his dog Ziggy. Molly is a Founding Patron of the Australian Music Vault.
