Midnight Oil @ Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne 27-Mar-22
Revered Aussie rock band Midnight Oil performed to a sold-out Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Sunday 27 March 2022 as part of their final ever tour. Led by singer Peter Garrett AM and his truly unique and iconic stage movements, The Oils also comprises founders Rob Hirst on drums and Jim Moginie on guitar and keys, along with Martin Rotsey on guitar, and Adam Ventoura on bass. They performed 22 songs over the course of the two-hour set, including hits like “Dreamworld,” “Best of Both Worlds,” “Power and the Passion” (dedicated to the Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins who died the previous day), “Blue Sky Mine,” “Beds Are Burning,” and “Forgotten Years.”
