Loudness @ Max Watt's, Melbourne 9-May-2019
Japanese heavy metal legends Loudness played their first-ever show in Australia on Thursday 9 May 2019 at Melbourne venue Max Watt's. After forming during 1981, Loudness became the first Japanese metal band to sign a multiple album deal with a major label, and the band has continued on to release 28 studio albums to date. Loudness features original members Akira Takasaki on guitar, Masayoshi Yamashita on bass, and singer Minoru Niihara, plus drummer Ryuichi Nishida. Kicking off their Aussie tour, they played a set heavy with songs from their classic 80's albums like Thunder From The East, Hurricane Eyes and Lightning Strikes, as well as some songs from their latest album Rise to Glory, released last year.
