Janet Gardner @ The Croxton, Melbourne 7-Mar-2020
Former lead vocalist of the female rock band Vixen, Janet Gardner performed at The Croxton in Melbourne on Saturday 7 March 2020, as part of MelodicRock Fest. Vixen's self-titled debut album from September 1988 included the lead single Edge of a Broken Heart that became their signature hit song. Along with their own headlining shows, they performed worldwide on tours in support of Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Kiss, and Deep Purple before splitting in 1992. Janet released her self-titled debut solo album in 2017 that was produced and written with her guitarist husband, Justin James. Her second solo album Your Place in the Sun came in 2019, when she again quit the on-again, off-again Vixen to focus on her solo career. Joining the 57-year-old powerhouse vocalist on her first time in Australia was Justin James on guitar, Anthony Gemignani on bass and Richie Rivera on drums.
