Halestorm @ 170 Russell, Melbourne 8-Dec-2015
Grammy-winning American rock band Halestorm played their first-ever Australian concert on Tuesday 8 December 2015 at 170 Russell in Melbourne. The band was touring behind their third studio album Into the Wild Life, which topped the rock charts in the U.S. and U.K. this year. Fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, her brother and drummer Arejay Hale, along with Joe Hottinger on lead guitar and Josh Smith on bass, the Pennsylvanians played a great set of songs from their catalogue, including the hard-driving single Love Bites (So Do I) that won them a Grammy Award in 2013 for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance – the first female-fronted band to both be nominated and win in the category.
