Dick Dale @ Wavestomp, Hudson River, NYC 22-Jul-2012
Pioneer surf rock guitarist Dick Dale headlined the Wavestomp cruise around New York City’s picturesque Manhattan waters on Sunday 22 July 2012. The seventy-five-year-old "King of the Surf Guitar" was backed by his son Jimmy Dale on drums, and Sam Bolle (Agent Orange, Jon & The Nightriders) on bass. His set included many of his signature instrumentals released since the ‘50s, like Let's Go Trippin' (regarded as the first surf rock song) and concluded with crowd favorite Miserlou.
