Chocolate Starfish @ The Palms at Crown, Melbourne 3-Jun-2023
Australian rock band Chocolate Starfish performed at The Palms at Crown casino in hometown Melbourne on Saturday 3 June 2023. Led by front man Adam Thompson on vocals, the 'Fish also includes Norm Falvo on keys, John “Stones” Nixon (Roxus) on bass, Darren Danielson (Roxus) on drums, and Zakk Zedras on guitar, who joined after the death of original guitarist and songwriter Zoran Romic in 2012. Formed in Melbourne during 1992, Chocolate Starfish powered onto the music scene with their cover of Carly Simon's You're So Vain, and then released their self-titled debut album in 1994 that reached number 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart and went platinum. After separating in 1998, Chocolate Starfish reformed in 2010 and continue to entertain crowds. The night's show featured the full Bat Out of Hell album by Meatloaf – the album and show that kicked off Chocolate Starfish’s acclaimed Classic Album Series back in 2015. They then played more classic songs by the master himself, Jim Steinman, and capped off the night with Chocolate Starfish hits.
The performance also included Julie Walter and Kate Daley on vocals, and Pete Mitchell (Melbourne Ska Orchestra) on sax.
