The Yardbirds @ BB King's, Times Square, NYC 11-Sep-2013
Legendary English rock band The Yardbirds played BB King's in Manhattan's Times Square on September 11, 2013, as the first of four special U.S. shows to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Original drummer Jim McCarty was reunited with guitarist Anthony "Top" Topham on stage for the first time since he left the band in 1963 - famously, the band's next three guitarists were Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. The current band includes Ben King on lead guitar, David Smale on bass, and lead vocalist Andy Mitchell. The Yardbirds played a great set at this New York City concert, which included their version of Dazed and Confused - the song that was popularized when Jimmy Page took it with him to Led Zeppelin. One of the greatest artists of all time, The Yardbirds have now been in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame for more than 20 years.
