Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds @ Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne 29-Mar-2016
Former Oasis lead guitarist/songwriter Noel Gallagher brought his solo outfit High Flying Birds to Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday 29 March 2016. Coming together after Oasis permanently split, the English rock band also comprises former Oasis session pianist Mike Rowe on keyboards, along with drummer Jeremy Stacey (The Lemon Trees), bassist Russell Pritchard (The Zutons), and rhythm guitarist Tim Smith. Noel Gallagher was a founding member of Oasis, whose first album was Britain's fastest-selling debut at the time. They soon became loved as one of Britain’s biggest and best-ever bands, who dominated Brit Pop in the 1990s and were hugely influential. Oasis had a total of eight No. 1 singles in the UK, as well as eight No. 1 albums. Over the years, Noel and his brother Liam were notorious for their feuding, and in 2009 they disbanded Oasis permanently, leading Noel to form this band, his High Flying Birds.
